What are the technical advantages of permanent magnet couplers?


The permanent magnet coupler is mainly composed of copper rotor, permanent magnet rotor and controller. Generally, the copper rotor is connected with the motor shaft, and the permanent magnet rotor is connected with the working machine shaft. There is an air gap (called an air gap) between the copper rotor and the permanent magnet rotor, and there is no mechanical connection to transmit torque. In this way, a soft (magnetic) connection is formed between the motor and the working machine, and the shaft torque and speed of the working machine can be changed by adjusting the air gap. Due to the different air gap adjustment methods, the permanent magnet eddy current transmission device can be divided into standard type, delay type, limited moment type and speed control type and other different types.

Permanent magnet couplers are mainly used for different types of fans, water pumps, material conveyors, bucket elevators, ball mills, winding machines, crushers, mixers, stranding machines and other mechanical equipment. The permanent magnet coupler solves the problem of light load starting. The long-distance suspension conveyor is difficult to start, and sudden start is easy to damage the chain. After being driven by a permanent magnet coupler, it can start slowly and flexibly to protect the motor and chain from damage during the starting process. The permanent magnet coupler coordinates the multi-power machine to balance and drive the single-chain multi-drive station suspension conveyor. If the motor speed of each drive station is inconsistent, the chain will be loose and tight. After installing the permanent magnet coupler, the problems of multi-machine drive, load balancing, and synchronous operation are solved, the chain elasticity is consistent, the operation is good, and the failure rate is reduced. The double-chain suspension conveyor is the same as the gantry crane, and the conveyor chains on both sides should be synchronized, otherwise it will be skewed and the machine may be damaged in severe cases. After the permanent magnet coupler is used for transmission, by adjusting the filling amount, the two transmission chains can be basically synchronized to avoid failure.
